Retrofitting wiring harness - AN82.61-P-0001-01C

Model 170 

1. Install gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead for back-up lamp signal on contact spring.

Vehicles with code 316, 317 

2. Open black 10-pin connector (C) on radio, insert gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead into chamber 3 and close connector (C).

Vehicles without code 316, 317 

3. Open new black 10-pin connector (C), insert gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead into chamber 3 and close connector (C).

4. Connect black 10-pin connector (C) to radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29).
5. Connect antenna extension lead (11) as shown in figure.

6. Route wire along existing leads in vehicle as shown in figure.

7. Route lead (gr/ge) for back-up lamp signal from radio shaft to shift gate.
8. Check gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead for backup lamp signal switch from standard wiring harness and expose.

   If wire color deviates observe wiring diagram.

9. Solder gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead for backup lamp signal to gray/yellow (gr/ge) lead from standard wiring harness and insulate.

10. Route Antenna extension lead (11) in right footwell to right wiring duct as shown in figure.

11. Route lead (11) in right wiring duct toward rear.
12. Route lead (11) through rear wall in trunk.

13. Route lead (11) in right trunk to trunk lid as shown in figure and fasten with cable straps (arrows).
14. Fasten connector (12) with adhesive felt in trunk lid.
