Notes on diagnosis with Hand-Held Tester (HHT) on heater booster/stationary heater - AD83.70-P-2001-02A
Model 129 as of 01.06.97 and model 210 as of 01.01.96 with stationary heater
Model 210 as of 01.03.97 and models 168, 202 with heater booster
HHT functions
There is a choice of the following HHT functions for testing the stationary heater unit/heater booster unit:
- Call up version of control module
- Read out fault memory
- Call up actual values
- Individual or simultaneous actuation of component functions
- Call up variant coding
- Cancel fault locking
Actuation of component functions
The following components can be actuated separately or at the same time for checking:
- Combustion air blower (maximum speed)
- Glow pin (operating time limited to 60 seconds)
- Fuel metering pump (operating time limited to 10 seconds, cycling frequency 5 Hz)
Fault memory
The display sequence of faults when reading out the fault memory is the opposite order to their occurrence, i.e. the fault stored last is always displayed first.
Before erasing, always read out fault memory and note all fault codes for subsequent troubleshooting. Depending on the fault, various fault texts can be displayed for a fault code.
