The fuel-air mixture is further enriched via the warm-up control after start and post-start enrichment. The warm-up enrichment compensates for the fuel which precipitates on the still cold engine parts.
The engine receives an additional fuel quantity allocated to it by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) in line with the performance map. The injection time is extended accordingly for this purpose.
The warming-up enrichment is dependent on:
- Coolant temperature
- Intake air temperature
- Engine speed
- Engine load
- Correction programming using STAR DIAGNOSIS
