Rear Axle Shafts: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove rear wheel(s).
- Remove axle shaft collard nut (12). See Fig 1 .
- Remove exhaust system as necessary to facilitate axle shaft removal.
- Remove axle shaft bolts and washers from axle shaft (37) and connecting flange.
- Move axle shaft into roughly horizontal position, push together and remove downwards at an angle from the connecting flange.
