The current fuel consumption is sent to the trip computer in the instrument cluster by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit in the form of square-wave pulse packages.

One square-wave pulse means 0.2 l/h.

The instrument cluster calculates and displays the consumption signal (e.g. 8.2 liters/hour).
