ME-SFI safety fuel shutoff - function - GF07.61-P-3018SM
ENGINE 113.986
ENGINE 113.987
ENGINE 113.988
ENGINE 113.989
The safety fuel shutoff is activated for:
- Mechanical faults in the throttle valve actuator (M16/6):
→ The engine speed is limited (to approx. 1400 rpm) by cutting out the fuel injection valves (Y62).
- In the case of errors of the engine speed signal "TNA":
→ Actuation of the fuel pump (FP) (M3) is interrupted.
- Crash signal from the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) with triggering of airbags:
→ The ME control unit (N3/10) switches off the fuel pump (FP) and shortly actuates the fuel injection valves so that the fuel system is unpressurized.
