Retrofitting front seat backrest air cushion - AN91.25-P-0001-01M
- Remove head restraint adjustment raise/lower motors (M27m4, M28m4) from driver backrest (1), for this purpose first press motor to right side and then remove downward.
- Lay front seat backrest (1) down on suitable surface with cover pointing downward and pull backrest cover (2) downward out of clip groove (arrows) on backrest frame (3).
- Pull lug for rubberized fiber matting (4) out of backrest frame (3) at bottom (arrows).
- Unhook backrest cover (2) from backrest frame (3) all the way around (arrows).
- Completely remove backrest frame (5) with air cushion (5) from rubberized fiber matting and unhook air cushion (5) from backrest frame (3).
- Crimp retaining lugs (9a) of reinforcement plate (9) and hook in at bottom of backrest frame (3) on spring wire (3a).
- Hook side air cushion (7) with retaining clips (8) into backrest frame (3) and lock in direction of arrow. Screw in screw (11).
- Hook retaining lugs (9b) of reinforcement plate (9) onto spring wire (3a).
- Hook connection element (14) into reinforcement plate (9).
- Slide pneumatic lines (12) for side air cushions (7) and pneumatic line (13) into connection element (14).
- Fasten pneumatic lines (12) and (13) to spring wire (3a) with cable straps at suitable point.
- Position backrest frame on rubberized fiber matting (4) completely with air cushion.
Ensure that the pneumatic lines are routed out of the backrest toward the front.
- Slide lug for rubberized fiber matting (4) into backrest frame (3) from bottom.

- Hook backrest cover (2) into clip groove on backrest frame (3)
- Fold center section of side tensioning element so that rubber straps can be slid into the intended slits and then hook in rubber straps on backrest frame.
- Install head restraint adjustment raise/lower motors (M27m4, M28m4), for this purpose install motor at top first and then press to left until it catches.
