Damage code	Cause	Remedy
	If the malfunction message "Card not recognized" appears in the instrument cluster, observe the following before replacing parts: ↓
	Cause 1:	Remedy 1:
	Location of card in vehicle. Problems with card recognition can occur when the card is located in the center console or in front of the instrument cluster, for example.	Place card in suitable location.
	Cause 2:	Remedy 2:
	Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and shielding effects.	Avoid electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and shielding effects. Never store card together with other electronic equipment (e.g. cellular telephone) or metallic items (e.g. coins or metallic foils).
	Cause 3:	Remedy 3:
	Both cards are located directly next to one another when the engine is started. Hash code feedback can be stored incorrectly. In this case, the vehicle can no longer be locked or unlocked with one of the cards.	Start vehicle with both cards one after another. Always ensure that only one card is in the vehicle.
	Cause 4:	Remedy 4:
	Measures described above do not help.	Replace control module (parts ordering note).
