Remove, install front rubber bushing in rear axle mount - AR35.10-P-0040-02MB

Remove rubber mounts 

  1. Slacken and remove through-bolts for attaching split rubber mounts, if installed.
  2. Position extraction tool (01s) on rubber mount (1f). Tighten both bolts uniformly, so that the claws of the extraction tool to the rubber mount do not slip.
  3. Place extraction tool (01t) on rear axle carrier.
  4. Pull rubber mount (1f) out of rear axle carrier.
  5. Press out upper rubber mount upward using suitable drift.

    Installing rubber mounts 

    IMPORTANT Install rubber mounts in correct position. Ensure that the side with the more closely adjacent sheet metal plates points in the direction of travel or the bores in the rubber mounts point toward the rear axle carrier.

  6. Grease rubber mount around circumference with liquid lubricant.
  7. Pull upper and lower rubber mount (1f, 1e) into the rear axle carrier using the insertion tool (01u, 01v).

    IMPORTANT The arrows on the insertion tool (01u, 01v) must point in the direction of travel.

  8. Install bolts for attaching the rubber mounts.
