Location 

The evaporator is located in the air conditioner housing underneath the dashboard.

Task 

The evaporator is used to cool down and dehumidify the air delivered to the vehicle.

Design 

The evaporator consists of soldered semicircular disks with corrugated ribs.

Function 

The liquid refrigerant under high pressure is injected into the evaporator through the expansion valve.

The refrigerant evaporates, thereby absorbing heat and moisture from the air blowing by the evaporator.

The soldered semicircular disks with corrugated ribs provide a large evaporation surface and ensure rapid heat exchange.

The humidity which condenses during the air cooling process is diverted by way of condensed water drainage hoses into the open.
