IMPORTANT Depending on the equipment installed one of the following control units will be installed, hereafter referred to as the "audio unit":

Function requirements 

IMPORTANT So that a bluetooth-capable mobile phone that is authorized on the audio equipment can be operated in the vehicle, the mobile phone must support the hands-free profile (HFP) 1.0 or 1.5. More information is available under:

General information on establishing a connection in the mobile telephone system 

After logging into the base transceiver station, the base station controller and the corresponding mobile service switching center and checking access authorization by the authentification center is complete, the mobile telephone subscriber can call his/her desired party by entering the telephone number.

If the mobile telephone subscriber is authorized, the call is fed by the mobile service switching center into the public telephone network via the public switched telephone network.
