	Activated charcoal canister task	The activated charcoal canister aerates and vents the fuel tank and temporarily stores the fuel vapors (for later purging).
	Activated charcoal canister design	The activated charcoal canister consists of a plastic housing filled with activated charcoal granulates. It is divided in different chambers by means of partitions to achieve an optimal flow of the activated charcoal granulates.
	Activated charcoal canister function	The fuel vapors released from the fuel tank ( with ORVR or when refueling) are bonded to the activated charcoal granulate. When purging is activated, they are drawn in by the engine and combusted. The activated charcoal granulates are completely regenerated in the process in the ideal case.
