Headlamp range adjustment axle sensor, component description - GF82.10-P-4153G

Location 

The front axle sensor (headlamp range adjustment) is mounted at the left front on the longitudinal member, the headlamp range adjustment rear axle sensor is mounted at the left rear on the longitudinal member.

Tasks 

The axle sensors determine the current vehicle level. The headlamp range adjustment control unit (N71) reads in both axle sensors discretely and uses the information to actuate the automatic headlight range adjustment (ALWR [LWR]).
