- Connect side airbag connector.
Connector should catch audibly.
- Rivet side airbag to door with 4 steel rivets (arrow).

If not present, drill mounting holes for sensors (A53) and (A54) in frame cross member as shown in drawing.
- For this purpose first mark hole for locating pin (a) and drill with 5 mm dia. bit.
- Insert side airbag sensor into hole with locating pin and align horizontally.
Arrow on sensor should point toward outside.
- Mark hole pattern for screws and drill with 3.5 mm dia. bit.

- Fasten sensors (A53) and (A54) with sheet metal screws (4).
- Connect connectors and position wiring harness in cutout in cable duct (arrow).

- Replace old control module (N2/2) with new control module (N2/2).
Observe tightening torque.
- Connect connector from airbag wiring harness (1) to control module (N2/2).
- Fasten ground (W26) with present Allen screws.
