Subsequently making opening in trim panel of rear roof frame; Saw template for seat-belt guide bracket opening in roof frame's trim - AN68.30-P-4470-02FA

Workshop equipment

WE58.40-Z-1001-03A Drill (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1004-03A Body saw (electric/pneumatic)
  1. Tape roof lining in area of intended opening.
  2. Align template with the guide edge (arrow) of the roof frame's trim and fasten in place.
  3. Bore hole (diameter 10 mm) within the sawing area at position shown.
  4. Saw out opening using a body-panel saw in accordance with the template.

    NOTES Note direction of sawing (arrows). Do not yet saw out the upper cutout, risk of cracks and fracture!

    IMPORTANT Work from the inside of the roof-frame's trim.

  5. Saw out cutout on guide edge.
  6. Saw through the bar between the cutout and the guide edge.
  7. Clean the sawed out edge.
