Retrofitting frame/floor wiring harness - AN88.70-P-0001-01A

IMPORTANT For wiring diagram, see "Electric wiring diagrams, model 210, volume 2, group 88".

  1. Route wiring harness for folding outside rearview mirror from switch (S50/1) in wiring duct to left front door separation point (X35/1) or right front door separation point (X35/2).

    IMPORTANT The colored markings on the wiring harness must coincide with those on the main wiring harness. They indicate where the wiring harness exits from the wiring ducts.

  2. Separate black/blue lead with larger diameter approx. 5 cm in front of circuit 15 connector sleeve (Z3). Strip insulation off of ends, twist together with black/blue lead (1) from folding outside rearview mirror wiring harness, solder and insulate with hot shrink tubing (2).

  3. Connect brown lead with end terminal to left front seat cross member ground point (W18) or right front seat cross member ground point (W19).

  4. Separate gray/blue lead with larger diameter approx. 5 cm in front of circuit 58d connector sleeve (Z81/4). Strip insulation off of ends, twist together with gray/blue lead (5) from folding outside rearview mirror wiring harness, solder and insulate with hot shrink tubing (6).

  5. Route tie-out for connector on outside rearview mirror switch (with fold-in/out feature) (S50/1) through opening (2) in cable duct.

  6. Complete cutout for outside rearview mirror switch (with fold-in/out feature) (S50/1) in cover next to shift lever or use new cover with switch cutout.
