Connecting/routing connection wiring harness of interior motion sensor - AN80.50-P-0100-02B

Model 210.2 as of 01.03.97 with code 551a (ATA), installed at factory

IMPORTANT Connect leads and tie-outs to present leads and wiring harnesses.

Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard.

  1. Route tie-out with 2-pin connector (7) to left vehicle side along ATA/TS wiring harness for connecting to left rear glass breakage sensor (B39) and route to rear in left wiring duct.
  2. Route lead tie-out upward to left side window of load compartment over left wheelhouse and connect connector (7) to left rear glass breakage sensor (B39).
  3. Route lead tie-out with 2-pin connector (1) upward to right side window of load compartment over right wheelhouse for connecting to right rear glass breakage sensor (B39/1) and connect to glass breakage sensor.

  4. Determine black (sw) lead (8) for rear window defroster (R1) in rear area of right cable duct.
  5. Separate lead (8) and connect black (sw) lead (6) to IMS connection wiring harness.

  6. Remove 18-pin connector for ATA/TS wiring harness from PSE control module (combined) (A37).
  7. Connect leads (4 and 5) of IMS connection wiring harness to 18-pin connector:
    • Connect yellow (ge)lead (4)to plug location 1.
    • Connect blue (bl)lead (5)to plug location 13.

      IMPORTANT The figure shows the assignment for the 18-pin connector from the connector side.

  8. Route IMS connection wiring harness with 4-pin connector (2) along main wiring harness toward rear to right D-pillar for connecting to interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14).
  9. Route connection wiring harness to D-pillar upward to roof area and route to installation location of interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver.

    IMPORTANT Fasten connection wiring harness in roof area with tape.

  10. Unclip fuse block B from rear fuse box (F4).
  11. Connect IMS connection wiring harness to fuse block B:
    • Connect red/blue (rt/bl)lead (3)to plug location A of fuse (F4f11).
