Retrofitting telephone wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-03F

Model 210.2 

  1. Prepare telephone wiring harness (2) as shown in figure.

  2. Prepare wiring harness (2) along existing leads in vehicle as shown in figure.

  3. Route telephone wiring harness (2) in right load compartment along existing leads as shown in figure.

  4. Connect brown lead from wiring harness (2) to ground (right taillamp in trunk) (W7/1).

  5. Route tie-out to rear fuse box (F4).
  6. Connect red/pink (rt/rs) lead circuit 30 to fuse 15.

  7. Route wiring harness tie-out (2) to roof antenna connector (A2/22x1) on right D-pillar and fasten with adhesive felt (arrows).

  8. Route wiring harness tie-outs (2) to center console in wiring duct below seat as shown in figure.

    IMPORTANT When installing the mobile telephone holder in the armrest the tie-outs for telephone handset (A34) and handset transmitter and receiver connector (X39/5) remain in the lower area of the center console.

    When installing the mobile telephone holder on the right side of the center console it is necessary to route the two tie-outs into the radio shaft. Route tie-outs to the right below the built-in console depending on the attachment console used.

  9. Solder blue/black (bl/sw) lead from wiring harness in wiring duct on left B-pillar to blue/black (bl/sw) lead from fiber optic cable wiring harness (1) with solder connector.

  10. Route tie-out from wiring harness (2) to microphone separation point (X58/3) in area of left A-pillar.
  11. Connect microphone extension cable (3) and route to overhead control panel along A-pillar.

    IMPORTANT Tie back excessive lengths in left wiring duct.

  12. If required lengthen black/pink (sw/rs) lead approx. 1 m, install with terminal and route to fuse and relay box (F1). Connect black/pink (sw/rs) lead to fuse 23 (circuit 15R).
