Retrofitting headlamp cleaning system wiring harness - AN82.15-P-0001-01FF

Model 210 as of 1.7.99 

1. Prepare headlamp cleaning system wiring harness (1) as shown in illustration.

2. Route wiring harness (1), as shown in the illustration, in the vehicle starting from the output ground in the left wheelhousing (W16/3).

3. Route brown cable to output ground in left wheelhousing (W16/3) and connect.
4. Draw wiring harness (1) through one of the rubber grommets (arrows) in the fuse box.
5. Route branches into the interior through the fuse box to the inside.
6. Route wiring harness along the existing wiring harnesses in the engine compartment.

7. Unplug the socket (S1) at the driver SAM control module (N10/1) and open. Insert the brown/ blue cable (br/bl) of the wiring harness (1) into receptacle 7. Fit socket (S1) together again and connect.
8. Remove the relay coupling (C2) and open. Insert the red cable (rt) into receptacle 1. Close coupling housing and fit again onto relay strip.
9. Remove the relay coupling (M6) and open. Insert red/grey cable (rt/gr) into receptacle 1. Close coupling housing and fit again onto relay strip.

10. Route branch of wiring harness (1) to the washer fluid pump (M5/2) in left wheelhousing as shown in the illustration, and fix with cable straps.

11. Route red cable (rt) in driver footwell below the footrest to circuit 30 cable connector (X4) and connect.

12. Route branch of wiring harness (1) to the cockpit switch group from below along the cross pipe to the center console and fix with cable strap (3).

13. Detach switch strip and open the 3-pin socket for headlamp cleaning system switch (S4/1), insert brown/blue cable (br/bl) of wiring harness (1) into receptacle 6. Close switch strip and install.
