Retrofitting global positioning system (GPS) antenna - AN82.61-P-7474-04R

Model 210.2 

  1. Mask large part of rear roof area with adhesive tape or film from top.
  2. Mark hole for antenna (21) in center of roof to dimension (h = 138 mm).
  3. Drill Ø 18 mm hole for antenna (21).

  4. Insert antenna (A2/49) into the roof, align in longitudinal direction of vehicle and lightly press on to roof.

    IMPORTANT Mark the hole pattern of the front antenna locating pin on the masked surface. (dimension x=30 mm)

  5. Mark hole for locating pin and drill Ø 6 mm hole.

    IMPORTANT When drilling the holes ensure that the paintwork and roof are not damaged. Do not remove drilling chips with a magnet. Coat blank body parts near holes with primer paint.

  6. Remove adhesive film from antenna base.
  7. Position antenna and align.

  8. Screw antenna down from inside the vehicle. Route antenna cable to left D pillar and locate with felt (arrow).
  9. Tie D network antenna cable back under the D pillar.
  10. Connect antenna extension cable (11) to antenna.
  11. Locate coupling (12) with felt strip (arrow) on to the roof and left D pillar.

  12. Route cable (11) along existing navigation computer cables in trunk and connect.
  13. Locate and fix cable (11) with cable ties (27). (Tie back excessive cable under the navigation computer)
