Retrofitting cellular telephone wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-03EE

- Prepare telephone wiring harness (2) and microphone wiring harness (3) as shown in figure.
Telephone connection schematic
- Route wiring harnesses (2 and 3) along existing lines in vehicle as shown in figure.
- Connect telephone lead (4) from telephone wiring harness (2) to telephone transmitter/receiver (A35).
- Connect tieout to D2B fiber optic cable interface (A59) from telephone wiring harness (2).
- Connect adapter wiring harness (5) to telephone transmitter and receiver (A35) and D2B fiber optic cable interface (A59).
- Route antenna lead (4) to roof antenna connector (A2/22x1) in load compartment on left along D-pillar and fasten with adhesive felt (arrows).
- Route tieout to rear fuse box (F4).
- Connect red/pink (rt/rs) lead for c. 30 to fuse 15.
- Solder blue/black (bl/sw) lead from wiring harness in wiring duct on left B-pillar to solder connector in blue/black (bl/sw) lead from fiber optic wiring harness (1).
- Route tieouts to microphone separation point (X58/3) and handset transmitter and receiver connector (X39/5) from wiring harness (2) to center console in wiring duct below seat as shown in figure.
- Connect brown lead to ground left front seat cross member (W18).
- Route telephone wiring harness (2) and microphone wiring harness (3) to left A-pillar.
- Extend black/pink (sw/rs) lead from telephone wiring harness (2) by approx. 1 m if required, install end terminal and route from driver's footwell to fuse and relay box.
- Route microphone wiring harness (3) along A-pillar to head liner and fasten with adhesive felt.
- Connect black/pink (sw/rs) lead to fuse 10 (c. 15R).
- Route microphone wiring harness (3) to overhead control panel control module.
