Retrofit hands-free system wiring harness - AZ82.70-P-0005-02PPE
With command
- Expose connection for telephone handset (A34) in radio recess.
- Connect antenna for the telephone handset (A34) to the antenna line of the PSC adapter.
Use the antenna adapter enclosed if necessary (depends on the vehicle version).
- Connect VDA connection line (5) to the interface box for the hands-free system (3).
- Route the connection line (5) from the interface box of the hands-free system (3) as per the Figure to the exposed CTEL separation point (X39/37) into the radio recess and connect.
Fasten wiring harness with adhesive felt.
- Disconnect series coupling of chamber A and B at the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) and connect to the wiring harness for the voltage supply (20). Connect intermediate coupling of the wiring harness (20) to the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3).
- Prepare CAN wiring harness (4) as shown in the Figure.
- Connect CAN wiring harness (4) to ICANI box (2) and connect the ICANI connection coupling (7) to the free coupling of the interface box for the hands-free system (3).
- Route CAN wiring harness (4) to the radio recess fasten with adhesive felt.
- Disconnect the series coupling on the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3) and loosen coupling housing from breaker point bracket (A). Mount the new coupling housing (12) (contained in the kit) on the standard production wiring harness. Insert breaker point bracket (A) in the new coupling housing (12). Breaker point bracket (B) of the CAN wiring harness (4) provided with the remaining coupling housing.
- Connect standard production coupling with the plug (11) from the CAN wiring harness CAN (4).
- Provide intermediate coupling from CAN wiring harness (4) with the remaining coupling housing and connect to the COMAND operating, display and control module (A40/3).
- Connect microphone wiring harness (22) to the connection coupling (MIC) in the radio recess and route under the glove box to the right A-pillar and from there upwards to the roofliner and fix in position with adhesive felt
On vehicles with head airbag when routing at the upper A-pillar it should be ensured that the routing ensues in front of the tensioning strap of the head airbag (towards the windshield).
- Stick microphone (6) as shown in the figure to the mirror base with double-sided adhesive tape (contained in the parts kit) and connect.
Align microphone so that pickup opening points towards driver.
- Connect hands-free speaker (21) of the attachment console at the connection plug (SP).
