Wiring harness connection schematic illuminated door sill molding
- Provide red line (red) with corresponding contact spring and insert in free contact cavity of fuse 3 from the rear fuse box (F4).
- Route cable harness (1) to right-hand cable duct.
- Route long branch-off line of cable harness (1) with brown/gray and brown cables (br/gr, br) for left door contact underneath the rear seat (see broken line) to the base of the left-hand B-pillar and fix in place.
Fix cable harness for illuminated entrance trim panel (1)underneath the rear seat with felt strips in the fold.
- Expose and check brown/gray and brown cables (br/gr, br) from standard cable harness from left door contact.
- Position the converter (7), 3-pin connector (10) and 2-pin coupling of luminescent band (11) in cable duct on the B-pillar.
Route the 2-pin coupling of the luminescent band (11) out of the cable duct to the front door sill molding, it is connected to the luminescent band later on.
- Solder brown/gray and brown cables (br/gr, br) from cable harness (1) to brown/gray and brown cables (br/gr, br) from cable harness of left door contact and insulate (see detail).
- Route short branch-off line of cable harness (1) with brown/blue and brown cables (br/bl, br) in right-hand cable duct as far as the B-pillar.
- Expose and check brown/blue and brown cables (br/bl, br) from standard cable harness from right door contact.
- Solder brown/blue and brown cables (br/bl, br) from cable harness (1) to brown/blue and brown cables (br/bl, br) from right door contact and insulate (see detail).
