Retrofitting parktronic system (PTS) sensors in rear bumper - AN54.65-P-0002-01A

  1. Remove impact absorber from rear bumper.
  2. Cut two holes at the recesses (arrows) into the base (17) of the impact absorber.
  3. Install new impact absorber (15) with mounts for sensors.

  4. Fit ring (12) to parktronic system (PTS) sensors (11).

  5. Insert Parktronic system (PTS) sensors (11) from the rear into the mounts of the impact absorber (15).
  6. Run parktronic system (PTS) rear bumper wiring harness (4) into bumper and fit together connectors (13), beginning on the right.

  7. Insert parktronic system (PTS) wiring harness (4) into the cable ducts of the shock absorber elements (16). Insert shock absorber elements into bumper. (Shock absorber elements fix the wiring harness in place).

  8. Run cable to parktronic system (PTS) rear bumper connector (X35/28) out of the shock absorber element (16).
