	Remove/install
	Special information on AIRmatic		AH32.22-P-1000-02I
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Disconnect battery		AR54.10-P-0003I
2	Remove engine compartment paneling	Right front part only	AR61.20-P-1105M
3	Unscrew pressure line connection (1) from AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)	Plug the pressure line for the duration of the repair operations. If pressure line or its connection fittings are damaged:↓	*BA32.22-P-1004-03A
		Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection	AR32.22-P-2001-02I
4	Detach connector on AIRmatic pressure reduction valve (A9/1y1)
5	Disconnect connector for air compressor motor (3)
6	Pull intake hose with air filter (2) out of longitudinal member	Installation:  If the air filter (2) is replaced, the arrow on the air filter (2) must point towards the longitudinal member.
7	Unscrew nuts (arrows) and remove AIRmatic compressor unit (A9/1)		*BA32.22-P-1003-03A
8.1	Detach air compressor relay (K40/7kO)	Only when installing a new air compressor. When replacing the air compressor the air compressor relay (K40/7kO) should always be exchanged as the switching contacts may be predamaged.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Check AIRmatic for leaks.		AR32.22-P-8100I
