Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels.
  2. Remove brake line (5) from brake hose (51) using brake line wrench and seal off openings immediately with plugs. See Fig 1 . Counterhold at 2 flats on brake hose using open ended wrenches if necessary.
  3. Remove brake hose from brake caliper using brake line wrench. On front brake calipers, pull out brake hose through rubber grommet at bracket.
  4. Installation is reverse of removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
