1 Loosen line connection on steering gear.
If necessary, loosen line mount along further route of line. |
|
| |
|
2 Replace sealing rings and support ring.
Ensure that sealing rings and supporting ring are properly seated.
Supporting ring only present on high pressure line (not on model 230 and 203 to 03/02).
There are two versions of servo high pressure lines. The old version has a slotted support ring which can be exchanged separately. The new version has a support ring without slots. If the support ring in this version is damaged, the complete servo high pressure line must be replaced (see parts list). |

3 Fasten line connection on steering gear with retaining plate.
Observe torque for screw connection. |

Support ring on steering gear high pressure line connection
Support ring on high pressure line (on model 203 only if fitted) and on model 203/209/211/219/230. For model 171/203/209, support ring is also required for high pressure line connection on steering gear. Model 171 up to VIN F 117 329, model 203 up to VIN A 832 192, model 203/209 up to VIN F 740 620, model 211 up to VIN A 939 965, model 211 up to VIN X 203 560, model 219 up to VIN A 069 149, model 230 up to VIN F 118818. If the support ring is damaged on vehicles as of the above-mentioned VIN, the complete high pressure line must be replaced. |
