    Pushing off 

  1. Undo self-locking nut of tie rod joint (10a).
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Mount thrust piece (045).

  3. Pry off tie rod joint (10a) using puller (044).

    SPECIAL TOOL Extractor (044) 124 589 03 33 00 for model 203, 209

    SPECIAL TOOL Puller (044) 140 589 00 33 00 for model 211

    SPECIAL TOOL Puller (044) 220 589 00 33 00 with

    SPECIAL TOOL Press 163 589 03 43 00 for model 215, 220, 230

    NOTES Do not damage the rubber boot, otherwise lubricant will be discharged from the tie rod joint (10a). This results in increased wear.

  4. SPECIAL TOOL Remove puller (044) and SPECIAL TOOL thrust piece (045).
  5. Install 

  6. Clean tapered connection.

    NOTES Grease or oil must not be present at the cone and thread, as otherwise the tie rod joint (10a) could work its way loose.

  7. Replace self-locking nut and tighten.

    IMPORTANT Counter ball head with an Allen wrench if necessary.
