- Clean painted adhesive surface on body flange with cleaning rag from cleaning set (Betaclean 3300) and dry with drying cloth included in cleaning set.
- Cut glue residues on body flange off with cutting blade.
- If residual glue is damaged or missing at body flange, apply primer (Betaprime 5061) in the area to be glued.
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 10 minutes.
- Repair paint damage on body flange not covered by the glue with primer pin.
To prevent the adhesive force of the glue to decrease when installing window adhesive surfaces of the body should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other cohesive components or dirt residues. Not more than 0.2 mm should remain Pull off loose adhesive material (remaining pieces which are not fully cut off).
- Glue side rubber seals on with universal glue.
- Install spacers at bottom edge of tailgate.
- Replace defective rubber spacers.
