Child protection, function 

With the child protection switch for rear side windows (S20/1s5) located in the driver power window switch group (S20/1) it is possible to disable the function of the left rear power window switch (S21/3), right rear power window switch (S21/4) located in the rear doors (child protection).

The child protection switch for rear side windows (S20/1s5) prevents unintentional actuation of the rear power window via the rear control switches

When the child protection switch is switched on no actions are performed when the left rear power window switch (S21/3) and right rear power window switch (S21/4) are actuated. Already active actuations triggered by the left rear power window switch (S21/3) and the right rear power window switch (S21/4) are interrupted immediately.

Operations activated or active by means of the driver-side power window switch group (S20/1) are not affected by the activation of the child protection.

The designation rear power window safety switch (S20/1s5) was changed to child protection switch for rear side windows as of 1.7.02 (S20/1s5)
