Sliding/pop-up roof function
The rotation direction of the roof system motor (M12m1) of the roof system drive unit (M12) is determined by the polarity of the actuation voltage from the overhead control panel control module (N70).
The actuation voltage polarity is controlled by 2-coil relay (changeover relay with non-actuated position). Both sliding/pop-up roof functions are controlled by the roof system motor (M12m1).
Starting from the open pop-up position rotation of the roof system motor (M12m1) moves the sliding/pop-up roof in the closing direction for the pop-up roof. If the motor continues to turn in the same direction beyond the "Sliding/pop-up roof closed" position, the sliding roof begins to open.
Hall sensor 1 (M12b1) and Hall sensor 2 (M12b2) provide pulses for position measurement, which are read in by the overhead control panel control module (N70).
