Remove/install rear bumper - AR88.20-P-2200P

MODIFICATION NOTES

16.2.00 Value modified from 20 Nm to 6 Nm Value modified in BA88.20-P-1002-02A Model 203 *BA88.20-P-1002-01A 
REMOVING Remove    
1 Remove coverings in trunk IMPORTANT Left and right side wall paneling and trunk floor paneling AR68.30-P-4600P
2.1 Disconnect PTS connector, rear bumper (X35/28) With code 220a (Parktronic system).  
3 Remove clips (2) from inner fender and rear bumper    
4 Unscrew screw (3). IMPORTANT Left and right side  
5 Unscrew screw from rear exhaust mount    
6.1 Unscrew nuts (4, 11) and screw (5) IMPORTANT Without code 550 (trailer hitch)
IMPORTANT Left and right side
 
6.2 Loosen nuts (6) on adjustment screw (10) IMPORTANT With code 550 (trailer hitch)
IMPORTANT Left and right side
 
7 Remove bumper (1)    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Convert M-AMG bumper IMPORTANT Refer to installation instructions for accessories.  
REFER TO RETROFITTING & CONVERSION Retrofit AMG paneling parts   AZ88.00-P-0001L 
9.1 Install bumper (1) IMPORTANT Without code 550 (trailer hitch)
IMPORTANT When installing ensure that mount (7) are moved into guides (8) on left and right
 
9.2 Install bumper (1) IMPORTANT With code 550 (trailer hitch)
IMPORTANT When installing ensure that mount (7) are moved into guides (8) on left and right Move adjustment screws (10) into retaining sheet metal plates
 
10 Screw in screws (3) IMPORTANT Move bumper until edge of bumper (1) is flush with edge of rear fender.
IMPORTANT Check bumper gaps (1), correct if necessary.

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.20-P-1005-01A

11.2 Screw in nuts (11) IMPORTANT Without code 550 (trailer hitch)

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.20-P-1002-01A 
12.1 Position nuts (6) and tighten IMPORTANT With code 550 (trailer hitch) Tighten nuts (6) only to point that it is possible to turn the adjustment bolts (10). Adjust uniform gap on bumper (1) with adjustment bolts (10).  
13 Screw screw into rear exhaust mount    
14 Press in clips (2)    
15 Connect rear bumper PTS connector (X35/28) IMPORTANT With code 220a (Parktronic system).  
16 Install paneling in trunk IMPORTANT Left and right side wall paneling and trunk floor paneling AR68.30-P-4600P
