Interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver, function - GF80.50-P-4104-02PP

Activation / deactivation

The interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.0/2) and the left interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/4) (model 203.7) are activated or deactivated by the overhead control panel control module (N70) by corresponding commands via the data interface.

The interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.0/2) or the left interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/4) (model 203.7) operates as motion sensor and monitors the interior compartment with the aid of non-directional ultrasonic signals. They are reflected by the passenger compartment.

Interior motion sensor (IRS)

The reflections are registered by the receiver of the interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.0/2) or the left interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/4) (model 203.7) and evaluated by the microcontroller. The reflection pattern changes when objects in the interior are moved. In this manner, it recognizes break-in into the vehicle.

Glass breakage

The left rear window glass breakage sensor (B39), right rear window glass breakage sensor (B39/1) and rear window glass breakage sensor (B39/4) are connected to the interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.2) and are monitored for line discontinuity.

The rear window glass breakage sensor (B39/4) is connected to the interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.2) and is monitored for line discontinuity

Alarm actuation

When an alarm criteria (motion in interior compartment or glass breakage) is recognized, the interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/14) (model 203.0/2) or the left interior motion sensor transmitter and receiver (A26/4) (model 203.7) relays the corresponding signal to the overhead control panel control module (N70).

The overhead control panel control module (N70) relays the signal via the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN B) to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) which then starts an acoustic and visual alarm.
