- Mark separation point on B-pillar (area A) as well as side roof paneling (areas B and C).
Mark separation point on roof paneling according to new part. Use cutting template on B-pillar.
- Cut separation points with body saw.
The position of the separation points on the side roof paneling can be changed within the dimensions of the new part depending on the scope of damage.
- Expose spot welds and cut out with spot weld cutter (areas D, E and F).
- Heat side roof paneling in shaded area with hot air gun.
In these areas the body is filled with foam
- Remove side roof paneling.
Do not remove foam parts.
- Grind connection surfaces on side roof paneling down to bare metal on both sides (shaded areas).
- Remove grinding and drilling chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat insides of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
