- Disconnect plug from headlamp.
- Twist ignition module plug (arrow) to the left and detach.
- Put ignition module plug aside.
- Remove retaining collar at burner.
Dispose of retaining collar.
- Remove burner.
Do not touch the glass of the bulbs with bare fingers. Use a soft cloth free of grease and pay attention to correct installation position. Otherwise, the deposits that develop can reduce the light output of the reflector.
- Cut off ignition module plug as close to the ignition module as possible.
Dispose of ignition module plug.
- Cut off the three supply lines (red, black and green) as close to the ignition module as possible.
This shuts downs the ignition module in the headlamp.
- Solder the adapter cable onto the supply lines
Be careful not the damage the headlamp housing with
the hot air gun.
- Wrap solder connector with fabric tape.
- Remove the four catch lugs (arrows) in the retaining collar.
- Insert burner and attach with retaining collar. Route the ground contact to the bottom.
Do not touch the glass of the bulbs with bare fingers. Use a clean soft cloth and pay attention to correct installation position. Otherwise, the deposits that develop can reduce the light output of the reflector.
- Mount new ignition module and latch.
Note installation position: right xenon headlamp ignition module (A) and left xenon headlamp ignition module (B).
- Insert plug into ignition module.
- Insert plug into headlamp.
