Retrofitting heated windshield washer wiring harness - AN82.35-P-0001-02PB
The heated windshield washer wiring harness and the headlamp cleaning system is delivered with tie-outs for the air conditioning system These tie-outs are not routed to the affected components. They are routed to the passenger compartment and should be insulated.
- Remove absorber (5).
- Remove door sill molding (11)
- Remove edge guard (12) in area of A-pillar paneling
- Unscrew bolt (13).
Unclip cap from A-pillar cover (14).
- Unclip A-pillar cover (14) and remove
- Open wiring duct on entrance panel.
- Pull tie-outs with connectors (2, 3) to passenger compartment through wiring duct below absorber.
- Route connectors (2, 3) to wiring duct.
Insulate connectors. Route leads kink and chafe-free and tie with cable straps.
- Insert connector (1).
Plug location M15.
- Install seal (4) on wiring harness in front of SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
- Open wiring duct (8)
Wiring duct below battery console.
- Open wiring duct (9).
- Route wiring harness with tie-outs for electronic ground, right of component compartment (W16/6) and connector on coolant circulation pump (M13) to wiring duct (8) below master brake cylinder on firewall.
- Route tie-outs through wiring duct (9).
- Screw on electronic ground, right of component compartment (W16/6).
- Connect connector (10) to coolant circulation pump (M13).
- Connect tie-outs to present wiring harness.
- Route wiring harness to washer water reservoir along present lead through wiring duct (15) and tie with cable strap.
- Screw on ground (left front headlamp unit) (W9).
- Install connector on HCS pump (M5/2).
- Insulate connector (16) for pressure and temperature sensor (B12/2) in area of washer water reservoir and tie.
- Reassemble in opposite order.
