Retrofit wiring harness - AN82.61-P-0001-01P
AUX socket in glove compartment.
- Remove the screws (1) on the right side of the instrument panel.
- Move the glove compartment (6) slightly forward and feed the white, 4-pin coupling for the cassette player connector (X39/36) from the AUX socket wiring harness (2) in between the glove compartment (6) and the instrument panel carrier (7) (see arrow).
- Fasten the glove compartment (6) back in place with the screws (1).
- Remove the soundproofing material at the perforation (3) and remove the perforated section (3) at the glove compartment (6) with a small flat tip screwdriver.
- Install the Walkman separation point (X39/45) from the AUX socket wiring harness (2) on the side of the glove compartment (6).
- In the area of the carrier (7), wrap felt tape (5) on the AUX socket wiring harness (2).
- Counterhold the Walkman separation point (X39/45) and press on the retainer (4) at the glove compartment (6).
- Route the AUX socket wiring harness (2) along the existing line at the A-pillar and secure it in place with tie straps.
The AUX socket wiring harness (2) must be routed under the piece of matting (8) as shown.
- Connect the white, 4-pin coupling from the AUX socket wiring harness (2) to the white, 4-pin plug in the right front cable duct.
The connection to the cassette player is now complete (X39/36) is now complete.
- Position the connection to the cassette player (X39/36) inside the right front cable duct.
- Strap down the extra length of the AUX socket wiring harness (2) inside the right front cable duct.
