Retrofit i-Pod wiring harness - AZ82.60-P-0001-02Q
- Open glove compartment lid (18) and remove cover (19) on side of the glove compartment using mounting wedge l.

- Remove AUX jack (20) out of the glove compartment (9) and disconnect from the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
The AUX jack wiring harness with the AUX jack (20) is no longer required.

- Break out the side opening (see arrow) out of the glove compartment (9) using a small flat tip screwdriver.
The opening is perforated.

- Guide interface connector (5) of the i-Pod wiring harness (1) from the inside out through the opening in the glove compartment and route in the front passenger footwell as shown in the figure (see magnification).
Interface connector (5) is connected to the i-Pod interface at a later time.
- Install grommet (6) in opening in glove compartment, and route and secure i-Pod wiring harness (1) as shown in figure.
If the diameter of the opening in the glove compartment is not large enough for fitting the grommet (6), enlarge the opening until the grommet (6) can be fitted tightly.
- Install cover on side of glove compartment.
Ensure that the i-Pod wiring harness is not pinched.
