Retrofit fiber optic wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-01PPC
- Prepare fiber optical cable wiring harness (1).
- Route fiber optical cable wiring harness (1) in vehicle.
Shown on model 203.0
- Check fiber optical cable routing in trunk.
In this case the sound system amplifier and the D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13) must be installed.
- Check fiber optical cable routing in vehicle.
The maximum number and sequence of participants is:
- Radio (A2)
- Amplifier for sound system
- D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13)
- CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6) (if installed)
- Expose three D2B fiber optical cable connectors (X39/43) in area of wiring duct on right rear door and check routing direction.
The fiber optical cables that are routed towards the front of the vehicle lead to the radio (A2) or the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6). Of the fiber optical cables that are routed to the rear to the trunk, two are routed to the sound system amplifier and two to the D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13).
- Find the coupler (B) that has a red insert (rt) on the radio side (A2) (arrow) and lay aside (it is not altered).
- Find coupler (B) with white (ws) insert on radio side (A2) and lay down to side (will not be changed)
- Remove the white (ws) insert coming from the D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13) from the standard coupler (A).
- Insert the removed white insert (ws) into the new coupler (N) for the fiber optical cable wiring harness (1) and close the coupler (N). Remove the green cover cap from the white (ws) insert of the fiber optical cable wiring harness (1) and insert the white (ws) insert into the old coupler (A) and close the coupler.
- The nominal configuration in the vehicle now is:
- Radio (A2)
- Sound system amplifier
- Voice control system control unit (A35/11)
- D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13)
- CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6)
- Route fiber optical cable wiring harness (1) through the rear wall into the trunk.
Shown on model 203.0
