81 041	The side catch parts can be damaged by improper handling when releasing the luggage compartment cover because the pivot locks break.	Replacement of the entire double roller cover assembly on the basis of this complaint will not be recognized as warranty or goodwill work! Replace only the catch parts. In the event of malfunctions of the side catch parts, it is always necessary to replace both sides.
		1 Check whether the two pivot locks (11) are broken by actuating the release handle (2). If required, press release handle (2) downward until both pivot locks (11) are broken.
		2 Remove double roller cover and put down on suitable surface.
		3 Pull out cover approx. 300 mm.
		4 Secure foil against rolling up unintentionally with assembly wedge. Do not damage or soil foil.
		5 Play roll of tape (1) below release handle (2).
		6 Pivot release handle (2) 180° The clamping pin (9) should be visible on both sides.
		7 Knock retaining pin (9) out of rod (5) from above with punch (3) (dia. 3 mm). Press foil to side in area of clamping pin, because otherwise, it can be damaged.
		8 Pull out end elements (4) on left and right
		9 Pull rod (5) out of roller cover foil to one side until the holes (6) for the catch lugs are visible. Ensure that the release handle (2) can slide on the rod (5), otherwise the foil will be damaged. Do not pull rod out too far, because 3 cardboard tubes are located on each side of the rod.
		10 Press the two catch lugs (7) on the spring carrier (8) in holes (6) together and pull spring carrier (8) out of rod (5) to side.
		11 Remove any burrs in the holes (6) Any burrs from drilling have a negative effect on the locking action of the new part.
		12 Repeat steps 9 through 11 on opposite side.
		13 Center rod (5) and move release handle (2) to original position.
		14 Knock retaining pin (9) into rod (5) from below until it is flush with the release handle (2).
		15 Insert new catch elements (10) into recesses in rod (5) and press in to stop While doing this hold release handle (2) and twist locking element slightly until catch lugs engage in holes (6).
		16 Secure catch by tapping lightly on catch element (10) with rubber hammer
		17 Check function of pivot lock (11). Press release handle (2) down, pivot locks (11) should move.
		18 Install double roller cover and check again for proper function
		Advise customer of proper actuation. Only press release handle (2) down until the pivot locks (11) release the catch. Do not press down too far!
