- Check bottom rear window for scratches and damage.
- Fit bottom rear window
- Roughen gluing area "A" with sand paper, grain size P800.
Do not sand through paint.
Use only sand paper, grain size P800.
- Evacuate dust from sanding.
- Clean bottom rear window with cleaning cloth from cleaning set and rub with drying cloth included in cleaning set.
- Apply activator in gluing area "A".
Allow activator to air-dry for at least five minutes.
- Thoroughly shake glass primer and apply to bottom rear window in gluing area "A".
Allow primer to air-dry for at least 10 minutes.
- Move nozzle on adhesive surface along cover on tailgate and apply glue.
Remove nozzle stop in repair kit. Do not apply glue too thick in area of center high-mounted stop lamp, otherwise glue can ooze out. Apply bottom glue bead sparingly in center, leave 20 mm free space to outer edge.
Completely press out glue residues not required immediately following application (disposal).
Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm.
- Center bottom rear window with help of 2nd person, position and secure against unintentional movement with adhesive strips.
The curing time (time before vehicle is driven) is approx. 1 hour from the time the window is installed.
