Function 

After the HCS switch (S1s7) is pressed in models 203 and 209 or (S1s1) in model 211, which actuates the HCS pump, (M5/2) pressure is built up in the washer fluid hose. Driven by the water pressure, the telescopic nozzles first move to the cleaning position.

After this a valve opens due to a further pressure rise at each telescopic nozzle and a precisely metered quantity of washer fluid is sprayed onto the headlamp lenses. Then the telescopic nozzles are moved back to their starting positions with the aid of return springs.
