Authorize vehicle - SI82.95-P-0001-01A
It is only now necessary to have mobile telephone reception (GSM) for authorization. An unrestricted location to navigation satellites (GPS) is no longer necessary. The official registration number of the vehicle is no longer required for authorization.
Authorization for all vehicle models prior to vehicle registration of a new vehicle is performed as part of the delivery inspection, in other words a registration number is no longer required. Please state the relevant registration number when billing with the following damage code and the corresponding operation number.
Billing of authorization is performed as warranty/goodwill.

- 1 Verify checklist.
The dealer or relevant sales person has inserted a checklist in the vehicle for authorization. This contains the principal information. Verify the checklist and the data which it contains. Verify in particular the authorization date stated.
- 2 Install mobile radio card.
Debitel mobile radio cards must be installed in the TELE AID control module in model series 203, 208 210. Such cards are already factory-installed in model series 208, 215, 220, 220, 463.
- 3 Switch on ignition.
Fault messages which request authorization of the Telematic services, illuminate alternately in the instrument cluster. These continue flashing until the services are correctly authorized. For this reason, do not delete these fault messages yourself.
The text "quit service mode" is displayed on the telephone receiver.
- 4 Press the OK button once.
- 5 Enter the PIN of the TELE AID mobile radio card at the telephone receiver.
The text "store PIN" is displayed on the telephone receiver.
- 6 Press the OK button once.
- 8 Conduct success check.
The vehicle is completely authorized if the fault messages in the instrument cluster are deleted and the emergency call button in the overhead control panel is no longer illuminated.
Authorization is then performed automatically within about 20 minutes.
After about 20 minutes the fault messages in the instrument cluster are deleted. If this is not the case, please contact the CAC which will provide you with assistance regarding the procedure to follow.
