Retrofitting headlamp range adjustment wiring harness - AN82.10-P-0002-03P

  1. Open wiring duct (8)

    IMPORTANT Wiring duct below battery console.

  2. Open wiring duct (9).
  3. Route wiring harness with connector (4) and connector on left front headlamp unit (3) below air conditioning pressure lines and master brake cylinder on firewall to front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
  4. Route wiring harness with connectors on right front headlamp unit (1, 2) and connector on front axle headlamp range adjustment sensor (A52) toward front through wiring ducts (8, 9) and connect to present wiring harness.

  5. Fasten tie-out for front axle headlamp range adjustment sensor (A52) to longitudinal member with cable strap.
  6. Install clips (5a, 5b).
  7. Install connector on front axle headlamp range adjustment sensor (A52).
  8. Route tie-out.
  9. Fasten tie-out to mount (7) with cable strap (6).
  10. Insert connector (4) into plug location 24 (24) in front of SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

  11. Open wiring duct (15).
  12. Route tie-out with left front headlamp connector (3) toward front and connect to present wiring harness.
  13. Close all wiring ducts

    IMPORTANT With code (600a) Headlamp cleaning system.

  14. Press lead cutout (8) out toward passenger compartment.
  15. Open frame for lead cutout (8a) at top.
  16. Remove plug for lead cutout (8b).

    IMPORTANT Part eliminated.

  17. Pull tie-out with rear axle multiple junction connector (X62/8) into passenger compartment and insert in lead cutout.
  18. Install lead cutout (8).

    IMPORTANT Spray in lead cutout (8) with soap solution and insert first at top.

  19. Route tie-out with rear axle multiple junction connector (X62/8) in passenger footwell to right rocker panel wiring duct and connect to present wiring harness (arrows).
  20. Open wiring ducts in tunnel and left rocker panel.
  21. Route tie-out with rear axle multiple junction connector (X62/8) to left rear wheelhouse through wiring ducts of tunnel and left rocker panel.
  22. Close wiring ducts of tunnel and left rocker panel.

  23. Remove absorber (9).
  24. Open wiring duct (11).
  25. Route tie-out with rear axle multiple junction connector (X62/8) to rear axle multiple junction connector (X62/8) housing and connect to present wiring harness.
  26. Press seal out in plug location B (10) downward with suitable tool.
  27. Press in connector into plug location B (10).

    IMPORTANT Connector should catch audibly.

  28. Close wiring duct (11).
  29. Install absorber (9).
