	Remove
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged leadacid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Disconnect battery ground cable
	Disconnect/connect battery's ground cable		AR54.10-P-0003P
2	Remove the stowage compartment in center console	The stowage compartment will no longer be needed for the retrofitting work.
3	Remove cover below instrument panel (left)
	Remove/install cover below instrument panel (left)		AR68.10-P-1500P
	Install
4	Install adapter wiring harness	Connect the adapter wiring harness between the standard radio connectors and the radio (A2). The connections cannot be mixed up and inadvertently swapped since all the connectors are coded.
5	Retrofit wiring harness	Wiring harness for CAN connection	AN82.61-P-0001-01PA
6	Retrofit radio(A2)
	Remove/install radio (A2)	with MB Audio 20 radio code 523	AR82.60-P-7502PA
7	Connect ground cable to battery
	Disconnect/connect battery's ground cable		AR54.10-P-0003P
8	Perform version coding subsequently	Register the new system and reconfigure the MOST ring (if present).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		Diagnosis system STAR DIAGNOSIS	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
9	Supplement special equipment	Enter the designations of the relevant special equipment in the vehicle data card and update the entry in the vehicle documentation system: "MB Audio 20 radio code 523".
