Installing illuminated door sill molding - AZ82.20-P-0001-01P

Model 203.0/2 

1. Glue luminous foil (3) onto bottom of metal door sill molding (1).

   Silver side of luminous foil does not illuminate

2. Position metal door sill molding (1) on standard door sill molding (2) and mark 20 mm dia. hole on cable outlet of luminous foil (2) (see direction arrow in magnified section) and cut out.

   Degrease standard door sill molding (2) with cleaning rag.

3. Glue metal door sill molding (1) onto standard door sill molding (2).
4. Fasten connection cable for luminous foil at bottom of standard door sill molding (2) with adhesive strip.

5. Drill 6 mm dia. hole at marked point (see arrow) through bead on frame floor system (FFS) and treat with corrosion protection agent.

   Do not damage carpeting in vehicle.

6. Open connector housing (5) at connection lead and remove conductors.
7. Route connection lead for illuminated metal door sill molding (1) to passenger compartment through hole (see arrow) and insert into connector housing (5).

   Use clamps as required.

8. Connect 2-pin connector (11) from wiring harness with 2-pin connector for luminous strap (5) and position in cable duct.
9. Clip in outer illuminated door sill molding (1).

10. Attach rubber door seal and fit inner standard door sill molding.

    Degrease standard door sill molding with cleaning rag.

11. Glue inner metal door sill molding (4) onto installed standard door sill molding.

    Align inner metal door sill molding (4) on outer illuminated door sill molding (1).
