Testing quiescent current - AR54.10-P-1030-03P

IMPORTANT Observe multimeter limit for current tests. When the central locking starts up, a current of approx. 20 A flows! Set the maximum current range initially!

IMPORTANT At least 30 minutes must elapse between switching off the ignition and reading the current to enable the in-car temperature sensor fan motor (N72m1) on models 203, 209 / (N70m1) on model 463, to switch off.

IMPORTANT Wait at least 4 minutes after locking the vehicle (run-on time of control modules).

IMPORTANT Do not activate any other loads during the test, otherwise another run-on time of approx. 4 minutes must be observed.

  1. Ignition: OFF.
  2. Lock vehicle.

    Reading ≤ 35 mA

    Specified value attained: Perform test step 3.

    IMPORTANT Wait at least 4 minutes after locking the vehicle (run-on time of control modules).

    IMPORTANT Do not activate any other loads during the test, otherwise another run-on time of approx. 4 minutes must be observed.

  3. Unlock vehicle.

    Reading ≤ 35 mA

    Specified value attained: End of test.
