- Contact 3-pin coupling for ATA tilt sensor (B33).
- Contact 5-pin coupling for rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
- Remove plug (7) via left rear wheel well.
- Attach wiring harness with tie straps to existing wiring harness (arrow) and guide via left rear wheel well to the vehicle passenger compartment.
- Route wiring harness in left sill cable duct as far as the driver's seat.
- Route wiring harness in cable duct via tunnel to the right sill.
- Route wiring harness in right sill cable duct.
- Route wiring harness in passenger side footwell to cable duct (12) in engine compartment (arrows).
Secure to existing wiring harness with tie straps.
- Press out locking pin (arrow) from cable duct (12) with screwdriver.
- Unplug wires from 3-pin coupling (1) for alarm signal siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1).
Observe installation position of wires!
- Detach grommet carefully from wiring harness.
Observe installation position.
- Route wiring harness through exposed duct (arrow) of cable duct (12) to the engine compartment.
Secure to existing wiring harness with tie straps.
- Slide grommet onto wiring harness and position.
- Guide wiring harness through bore (arrow) in upper right inner longitudinal member (13).
- Position grommet in the bore (arrow).
Ensure correct seating of grommet.
- Assemble 3-pin coupling (1) for alarm signal siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1).
Check correct latching of the female contacts in the connector housing by carefully pulling on the appropriate wire.
Ensure correct seating of rubber gasket.
- Route wiring harness to the alarm signal siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1) and secure with adhesive felt (arrows) to lower right firewall (14).
- Contact 3-pin coupling (1) for alarm signal siren with auxiliary battery (H3/1).
- Connect wire br (4) for right major assemblies compartment ground, wire ground (W16/4).
