Preparing test without quiescent current retention unit - AR54.10-P-1030-02P

  1. Slacken nut on negative battery terminal clip.

    IMPORTANT Do not disconnect the negative terminal clip!

  2. Prepare multimeter (2) for the test using SPECIAL TOOL electrical connection set.
  3. Connect positive test cable (+) to negative battery cable (1).
  4. Switch on multimeter (measuring range in amperes).

  6. Carefully pull up negative battery terminal clip and at the same time connect negative test cable (-) under terminal clip on negative terminal (3).

    IMPORTANT Do not break the circuit when pulling off the negative terminal clip otherwise any existing faults will be erased. Remove the negative terminal clip completely only after the multimeter test cable is firmly connected to the negative terminal.

  7. Route multimeter (2) with measurement cable (6) out of the engine compartment (on models 203, 209) / passenger compartment (on model 463).
