Preparing test with quiescent current retention unit - AR54.10-P-1030-01P

WH58.30-Z-1012-09A Quiescent current retention unit
  1. Connect the quiescent current retention unit (7) as follows:
    • Connect clip on positive lead (+) to positive terminal on battery.
    • Connect clip on negative lead (-) to battery ground point (W10).
  2. Switch on quiescent current retention unit (7).
  3. Shown on model 203

  4. Disconnect negative terminal clip on battery.
  5. Connect multimeter (2) as follows using SPECIAL TOOL electrical connection set:
    • Connect positive test cable (+) to negative battery cable (1).
    • Connect negative test cable (-) to negative battery terminal (3).
  6. Shown on model 203

  7. Switch on multimeter (2) (measuring range in amperes).
  8. Switch off and disconnect quiescent current retention unit (7)
  9. Route measurement cable (6) out of the engine compartment (on models 203, 209) / passenger compartment (on model 463).
